Relentless Energy Drink have teamed up with the renowned master of sampling DJ Yoda to create a rad sounding new competition inviting music lovers the world over to contribute to a one-off DJ Yoda track.
As his name suggests DJ Yoda and his multifaceted mash ups are out of this world, sampling beats, tracks and recordings spanning the ionosphere, with a chaotic resonance to the likes of The Avalanches and Beastie Boys, which no house party could be complete without.
Kicking off his musical career from University digs he swiftly moved on to performing for the masses and into being nominated as one of the “Ten DJs To See Before You Die” by Q Magazine, later becoming a late night regular on BBC Radio 1 featuring alongside the likes of Annie Mac.
Yoda aka Duncan Beiny has a unique ability to cherry pick riffs, choruses and references from existing tunes that span the decades and seamlessly combine them in a way that makes the original far inferior.
Now Yoda has released word of his newest project with Relentless Energy Drink, which is offering an opportunity to work with the cut n paste master to produce a brand new track and video made entirely from Vines created by the public.
The competition offers ANYONE the chance to become a part of the #RelentlessLoops project and contribute to the very special DJ Yoda track that will be performed for the first time live at the end-of-year House Party in Brighton, featuring Zane Lowe on 14th December.
To enter, all you need to do is film a Vine of yourself creating a 6 second musical loop – it can be beats, melody, vocals, or anything else you can think of – then share it on Vine and Twitter using #RelentlessLoops.
The best entries will be used in an original DJ Yoda track and music video, premiered at the Relentless House Party in Brighton and then available to watch at RelentlessEnergy.com.
