The festival aunched ten years ago as the DreamScapers Artist Showcase and grew each year under that name. In 2007, the showcase was rebranded as RedGorilla Music Fest, and over 200 artists participated in shows. The next year RedGorilla hosted 300 bands, solo artists, and DJs and expanded the event to eight stages. The 2009, 2010, and 2011 festivals boasted over 500 artists on 11 stages, and the mission remains the same: To promote up-and-coming independent music in all genres and help independent artists further their careers. “Everyone’s a VIP at RedGorilla,” says RedGorilla co-founder, Brian Waymire. “When you step in to a RedGorilla show we want it to be a discovery point for new artists that otherwise might not have an opportunity to showcase.”

The Material

The festival has been a huge success and continues to uphold its reputation as the cool, rebel showcase that caters to talented artists from all parts of the world. RedGorilla offers performance slots to bands, solo artists, and DJs so they can take advantage of the exposure the festival can offer.
